This 2 day Practioner course is run in Newcastle and is the second of two PRINCE2 courses that you are required to pass to become a Registered PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner. This course is fully accredited and provides delegates with all the support they require to pass the examination. This Practitioner examination measures whether a candidate would be able to apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2. To this end candidates need to exhibit the knowledge required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tailor PRINCE2 appropriately to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario. This course conforms to the 2017 syllabus for those delegates wishing to gain Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner level certification. The PRINCE2 Practitioner Examination is scheduled to take place on the final day.
This accredited two day PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner classroom course fully prepares you for the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination. The examination measures whether a candidate
can demonstrate sufficient ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project. A successful Practitioner candidate should, with suitable direction,
be able to start applying the method to a real project. This course conforms to the 2017 syllabus.
By the end of the PRINCE2 Practitioner classroom course you should be able to:
• Apply the PRINCE2 principles in context
• Apply and tailor relevant aspects of PRINCE2 themes in context
• Apply and tailor relevant aspects of PRINCE2 processes in context
Important note regarding pre-course preparation:
There is mandatory online pre-course work that must be undertaken prior to attending this course. It is expected that it will take approximately 6-8 hours to complete.
You will be sent full instructions with a link to the online pre course within 48 hours of your confirmed booking.
In addition, whilst attending your course there will also be some examination preparation evening work.
This course follows the 2017 syllabus and provides delegates with the following:

• 38/68 required to pass = 55% pass mark

This level aims to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team using the PRINCE2 method. To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method. In order to sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination you must provide proof of having passed one of the following: • PRINCE2 Foundation • Project Management Professional (PMP)® • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® • IPMA Level A (Certified Projects Director) • IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager) • IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager) • IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate) Only current certifications will qualify as a pre-requisite Individual IPMA chapters have local interpretations of these certificates, for example: • In the United Kingdom the Association for Project Management (APM) is the IPMA chapter; visit www.apm.org.
